Lego Land - Part 2

We were amazed by the "Lego World". It was so cool! I loved the Vegas model of course. They even had little fountains for the Belliago.

Vegas

Treasure Island Pirate Ships

Addy loves the Statue of Liberty!

There was this firetruck ride where we had to pump the firetruck and it moved along track. We were competing against the other trucks. It was hard work. When you got to the end, you all jumped out and someone had to pump the fire hydrant while the others aimed the hoses to put out the fire in the apartment building. Your sign when down when you did a good enough job!

It was HOT and hard work, but fun!

More Vegas

A race track! They counted down and then the cars drag raced. Mason enjoyed it. The whole area was super cool, we definitely didn't get enough time in this area. There was little fire trucks going through the city, school buses, people, etc. There were various cities, and then even a water area with pirate ships. It was cool!

The pirate show! The kids went to their first water show. They were water skiing and trying to learn tricks for the head pirate. They ate snacks and enjoyed the show!

Mason driving a blue tractor

With a blue mouth from a ring pop. ha!

Mason even got to ride a roller coaster!

Aargh! The Pirate Cruise! The lines for this were long..... so we timed it on the app and picked the shortest time. It was okay, but I probably wouldn't waste my time if we go back :)

For Tracey :)

She wanted SO BADLY to buy the plastic driver's license for $25..... we said no. I struggled, I admit, but it really was a lot for a plastic license. We convinced her to spend her money on a Lego from the store instead :)

The big kid course! On this course, Addison was 7 years old. Ha! She loved this.

Addison saw these statues as we were buying our souvenirs and wanted her picture. After this, she really wanted a Lego Friends set. She asked Santa for a Lego Friends set :)

While Addy and I were riding rides, Ryan and Mason were hanging out. Ryan found this ride. For 4 year olds. He told Mason "Tell them you are four". He did, and they let him on. I couldn't believe it when I saw this picture! There is something similar at Adventureland and they wouldn't let Addy ride by herself. But Mason can at Adventureland. Ha!

After 9 hours, in the heat, we still had smiles as we left Lego Land at closing time. We were dripping with sweat at some times, enjoying the cooling towels and ice cubes from the machines at the park. We didn't get a picture of one of Addison's favorite rides..... it was one where you went inside a building and they sat you on a "couch" and took you on an adventure. You watched a screen and they made it seem like you were flying through the scenes. Addison thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Family picture as we left that night! It was a great day :)

We got in the car and the kids didn't even fall asleep right away. Smiles, giggles, and snacks. It was so much fun, and we were shocked they didn't crash! After a big, long, hot day, I thought for sure they would crash. They did eventually fall asleep.

One thing Ryan and I learned on the two lane road drive, there are armadillos in Florida. Ryan swore he saw one on the side of the road. So I googled it. And there are armadillos in Florida. Learn something new every day! Ha!

LegoLand!! Part 1

We decided to take a day to go to Legoland.... we were all excited!

They started the day with the 2 decker carousel.

Then we hit up the Safari so Mason could see the animals.

He was excited for the Zebra and the zebra jeep. He loves Jeeps and Zebras..... it was perfect!

Addison rode the roller coaster and LOVED IT! She went a couple times in a row. In this picture, her and Ryan were in the front seat!

The triceratops at the roller coaster she liked.

Mason thought the Lego vehicles were pretty cool.

This was their favorite attraction!! So there was one track that was for 3-5 year olds. The staff member asked each kid how old they were. We told Addison to tell them she was 5. Ha!

Mason loved it. We did it probably 5 or 6 times. Thankfully there wasn't a line most of the time so he could just go again and again. There was one time when he claims that a girl hit him and made him get stuck. In reality....he was driving "fast", went out and around her, then cut her off so he didn't hit another car. It was soooo funny. I wish I had it on video!! But it was really funny how he was "whipping" around other cars and doing it pretty well...... until he cut her off. Another inch or two and he would have been in the clear. Ha!

Then he drove a boat. Ha! It was kind of crazy..... you actually drove these boats. They weren't on a track or anything. It was slightly challenging to steer. Some boats went faster than others so you could pass people on the course. We had a slow boat. It was frustrating! Then there were waterfalls that Mason drove us through. Addison and Ryan were in another boat that went faster!

The Janky Zoo

The janky zoo was back open!! Ha! Some of the dinosaurs survived the hurricane. Some were a little damaged.

And we went back to the crazy cow/camel/antelope animal was still there.

This thing is sure funny looking.....

We sent pictures to both grandpas and they didn't know what it was either!!

There are no gorillas at the janky zoo, but there is a statue! We liked seeing the lemurs, alligators, and some of the other weird not normal zoo animals. It's pretty cheap, but we weren't as entertained this time. We probably won't go again and will chose something else next time!

This quarter ride provided lots of laughs and entertainment!

Addison doing her crafts.

Pool-side snacks :) Cheez-its for the win!

Mason had his arms around Addy & Dad on the golf cart ride.

And one of their favorite things about vacation..... the ice cream!! Look at her messy face!

Off to vacation

We stopped at a corn field by the high school to take a picture to see how tall the corn was. We were going on vacation for 9 days, and then we would see how much the corn grew!

Playing "the penny game" in the airport while we waited for our flight. We used a toy instead of the line in the floor. "The Penny Game" was a game my dad used to play with Landon and I at the shopping mall while we waited for my mom when we were younger. You had to see who could get their penny to land as close as possible to the line on the floor. Hours of entertainment. ha!

Told Kelly that I put my ear buds in and the people next to me just kept talking...... haha

Best Mom Ever..... I packed the Fun Dip she had been begging to eat. She was so excited.

Golf Safari! Not to be confused with Safari Golf that was destroyed in the hurricane.

For a 3 year old, he has amazing concentration and determination.

Three little monkeys.....

Dude still loves zebras!

It was HOT.... so we found a splash pad after golfing. It was HOT. I mean, we were all dripping in sweat. The playground equipment was scorching. But the splash pad was good!

Must not have taken any pictures, but we went to Culver's for lunch. Addison thought it was so fun! And we all loved the custard for dessert :)

Then we went back for another round of golf..... we pay once and then can golf as many times as we want. Got to get our money's worth!

Oh my gosh..... these two BOTH got a hole in one. That's right they both got one at the same time. CRAZY. And mom and dad did not get hole in ones. Ha!

This was the hole. It wasn't an easy peasy one! They both went under the rocks I believe. Ryan will probably tell me I'm wrong (haha). Ryan was pretty distraught that Mason got a hole in one.

Then a couple holes later..... Mason rolled his ball down this big hill and then got a hole in one! WHAT?!? Crazy. Ryan claims it doesn't count because Mason rolled it and didn't hit it with his club..... but I argued that he did it from the same spot he would have hit it. So I think it counts. He was so happy! And Ryan just wanted to steal joy from a 3 year old..... haha :)
