More 5 Month

I forgot to add these pictures to the 5 month post.

5 Month Stats!
Addison here is a little bit about you at 5 months:
Eats: 5 ounces every 3 hours. We also now do rice cereal before bed. You attack the spoon. Literally. Can't get it your mouth fast enough. We hold down your hands because you want to grab it too. We learned from experience what happens when you grab it - cereal everywhere but in your mouth! But you hold that empty spoon in your mouth and gnaw on it!
Sleeps: Ugh. No good answer on this one! You still aren't sleeping great. You wake up a couple times a night. Not always hungry, just uncomfortable or happy & talking. I feel like we have tripled the number of sleepless nights since I went back to work! This week we started letting you talk yourself back to sleep :) You also spin complete circles in your crib.
Weight: By our scientific measuring of your dad getting on the scale holding you, you weigh 15 pounds.
Likes; This list could be long! Fans, TV, burp rags, your toes, your fingers, chewing on your clothes, cereal, the changing table, the play mat, bathes, the exer-saucer. You love putting things in your mouth. You LOVE standing. You are happiest when standing or on the changing table. I would like to make it clear, you love the changing table even when fully clothed. You talk to your friend Charlie (that's what I named your ceiling fan) on the changing table. You tell loud stories and laugh at him. You also react to our voices and we can make you laugh. You are so much fun right now!! We love every minute.
Dislikes: There isn't much to this list. Dad & I couldn't really think of anything you dislike. The only thing I could think of was that you don't like being held "like a baby" if you aren't going to eat. You want to sit up or stand and look around.

When I was filling out your baby book, it asks what Mom & Dad's favorite times of day is. We both answered (without knowing), picking you up from daycare. There is nothing like the feeling we get when you see us and give us a big smile. We are always so excited to see you, we like to think you missed us too! BUT on the flip side, I love that you give Shannon big smiles when we drop you off! This morning Kia & Mason came to see you while I was getting you out of the car seat and you gave both of them big smiles. Makes the mom-guilt a little less to know you are happy at daycare :)

One thing both Dad & I love is your laugh. It's the best sound. We love to make you laugh! I have some videos of Dad making you laugh. You laugh more at Dad than me, but I tell him it's because he's funny looking :) And I don't know what that Aunt Tracey does to you....but she really makes you laugh!!

5 months!

Our little munchkin was 5 months old on Sept. 22 - I'm pretty sure I missed month 4. WOW!
Such a happy girl. So I put this pink onesie on, that matches her small bow, brought her downstairs and set her on the counch. That is how much she drooled in that time frame. Seriously. I had everything already set, just had to get her ready. And she's soaked. Okay, I will cut her some slack, as you put the shirt over her head, she immediately grabs it and starts sucking on it!  But still!

I'm so tired of telling people that she's not teething....she has drooled like that since 6 weeks old!
I have no idea how that spot lower on her body got there. haha!
Love this picture! Addison loves to give us big smiles. I wish the "5" on her bow was a different color, it's hard to see!

Lisa always says Addison is so well behaved....So I'm adding these photos for her :) My staging of photos doesn't always work.....

Immediately when I set her down, the bow came down. It's still around her head, but she had to get it in her mouth. This was the first picture of the day!

3rd picture. Still trying to get it in her mouth.

See that hand on the pink blanket.......
And it all comes down...

Although she sometimes doesn't cooperate, I love taking her pictures. Just wish I was better at it and had a better camera than my 3 year old phone!

Big disappointment

Well Addison's first ISU/Iowa game was quite the disappointment. We told her it was okay to go to bed before it ended. It was not a good game. She woke up bright and early Sunday morning, so her and I decided to walk to Casey's and get some donuts. Donuts make everything better!
This was her face the whole walk. We talked about sometimes as Cyclone fans we have disappointment, but you gotta keep your chin up. Things will get better. She was just so sad for her buddy Matt Campbell. She wanted him to start of the season with some wins!

But Addison's day got a little better, Cousin Brayden came to play. We played baseball of course.

This is her "autographed ball" from "Kris Bryant". In between innings, as Brayden was running to the "dugout", he told us he was going to throw a ball into the crowd. He ran over and gave the ball to Addison. He told her "Wait for me by the fence after the game and I will sign it". It was pretty cute. So then he batted a few more times and then told Ryan the game was over. Ryan was asking why it was over and then Brayden ran over to Addison and in his manliest voice said "I will sign that ball now little girl". I tried so hard not to bust out laughing. It was pretty good!

I promise Addison, real baseball games are much more entertaining than backyard games.

I hadn't taken a picture of her on my knees for a while. I realized that's because she is not content sitting that way anymore. She is too tall! And she is always looking around, so she won't just lay her head back!

Our buddy Henry gave us this pretty cool toy to borrow. This was the first night we put her in it. She was pretty intrigued. Since these pictures, she has played in it more and learned how to run the toys. Although her favorite activity is trying to get each toy in her mouth....crazy kid!

Week 20

Happy girl!!

Ready for the Cy-Hawk game. I had the day off because daycare was closed that Friday. So we got her dressed up and we went shopping!

Such a happy little Cyclone! I'm loving dressing her in her ISU apparel, but I need to start looking for some in the 9-12 month size. Good thing the football leggings are supposed to still fit her as a toddler. I love that she smiles even though she was tipping over!

It's Game Day! We decided to go for a walk before the big game started. It was a really nice day out. Notice she is hanging on to the side of the stroller. Ever since we started setting her in the stroller like a big kid, she hangs on the whole time.....

First family selfie!! This was right before the ISU/Iowa Game started. Addison was hiding her excitement. :)

4 month photos

So she was technically a little older than 4 months, but we call them her 4 month photos. My mom bought Addison the "Grow with Me" package for photos for the first year. I was pretty excited to get these done. She wasn't in a super smiley mood but Destri is amazing and got some good ones! We were happy :)
Love this one with the smile!

Get to see her birthmark here. I have a love/hate relationship with the birthmark.

Pretty sure after this shot, the dress went to her mouth

Destri was making loud funny noises and jumping all over the place, this is the same look she gives Ryan and I when we try to get her to smile. haha!

Superman pose

Grandma Rita got a giggle out of her here

Again, the blank stare

It was a pretty stressful 20 minutes for me.....I was so worried she wasn't getting any good pictures! But by the time we got back to my mom's house and sat down to eat lunch, we had the email with the photos and we were happy!

Now time to shop for outfits for the 6 month photos!!

Rice Cereal!

In Week 20, we had a doctors appointment that gave us the okay to start rice cereal. I was pretty excited, I'm hoping this well help her to sleep through the night!! She has been waking up anywhere from 1-4 times a night. Usually once to eat, and the others she is just rolling around and we put her pacifier back in. She will usually go back to sleep, but it's usually at least a 20 min. process.

She is completely amused by this tag on her playmat. All these toys and she loves the tag!
First night trying rice cereal! We have since moved to a bib instead of Ryan holding the bowl under her chin. I love the facial expressions!

This one is my favorite - the blank stare with the cereal running down her chin! You can really see her fluffy hair in the picture.

She did a lot better than I expected! Ryan wasn't as excited as I was, he didn't think she did that good. We have been doing it about a week now. So far so good!

My Little Cyclone

Again, I will say - These are my FAVORITE pictures!! I love them :)

My work is doing a promotion for homecoming where they wanted pictures of kids and said "class of  2039" when they would graduate from ISU. Yes, Addison will graduate from ISU around 2039. Crazy.

I'm in love with these outfits and the football leg warmers. They are cute on other kids, but absolutely adorable cutest thing you ever saw on Addison :) HA!

There was some football leg warmers with red/yellow ruffles but they were only in toddler size. I am totally getting them next year. I am also looking at other leg warmers as I kind of love them. Makes diaper changes easier! I found some super cute Halloween ones, but Ryan says we have enough Halloween stuff :)

She was in such a good mood! I hope she puts up with my ridiculous outfits and photo shoots for a while. Usually she doesn't put up with outfit changes real well for me, but this night she did. I'm thinking now I should have used some pom poms. Maybe this weekend we will do it again :)

Week 19

I had done some shopping the week before, so we had some things to try on!

I'm pretty excited for her Halloween outfits! I really only needed one bow, but the package came with three.

We have professional photos scheduled, and I found this super cute outfit on Amazon. It's a little tube top of stretchy material. It's supposed to fit from infant to 4 years. People keep telling us Addison is tall, well apparently so, because at 4 months the tube top was short on her. Ryan does not like this outfit and thought it was too revealing. He was shocked when he asked if I was putting a t-shirt under it and I said no. He thought I was kidding! It would look silly with a t-shirt, geez Ryan.

So I put it on her and took a bunch of pictures. I sent them to my mom, I hope pictures go better than this!! haha.

She tried to eat the tutu, then would make a face because it tasted bad. Then she wanted her toes in her mouth.
She looks mad because Ryan is holding her legs down. She was quite wild!! We already did the professional pictures, they did go much better than this......you will see in a later post!
