Videos from October

This was the first time she put on her dragon costume, Ryan, my mom and I thought it was hilarious! She loved it right away. 

We wanted to get a few words on video - we never practiced Diet Dew but she picked it up! Also, the "what?" is a favorite :) 

She LOVED the trampoline. Here is her and Conner playing around. She will probably have the jumping part down next summer!

Dear Santa,

Although the photos may disagree, Addison really WAS a good girl this year! 

We like to go to Bass Pro the week of Thanksgiving as there is no line and they don't mind taking multiple photos for us. Addison was REALLY mad at me that night! I had to peal her off me and put her on Santa's lap. It was very traumatic for both of us. ha! She would only go to Ryan after this. 

But we quickly made Addison happy by visiting the giant fish tank in Bass Pro. It did take her a minute, but she soon warmed up quick and wanted down to look at the fish up close. There were some big ugly fish in that tank.

 She could hardly take her eyes off the fish long enough to look at me for a photo!

Everyone needs the crying Santa picture, however, I would have settled for a few big tears without the wailing and screaming! ha! We will see how she does next year! 

Lents Thanksgiving

I was probably cleaning (don't remember for sure), and I looked in the living room (because she was quiet) and found the scene above. One of her baskets of books is next to the couch and she was reading some books. The kid loves to be read to and read by herself. I hope that continues! 

I may stage a lot of photos, but not this one! I was getting out Christmas decor and she put on the Iowa State hat and climbed on her tractor. We thought it was hilarious! 

We went to Ryan's aunt Ginny's for Thanksgiving, and she has lots of kitties! Addison hasn't really seen kitties in person, from what I know, so this was new. Her "meow" is hilarious, it sounds like an angry kitty. She could have stood by Ginny's door all day......

Travis loves to play with Addison. He followers her around and tries to entertain her. He was going in for a hug in the photo above, I missed the actual hug. It's super cute though! 

Travis was showing her how the toy works. He's 4 years old but plays SO well with her! He's like a protective big brother :) 

Silly girl

Back in November, we were trying on our new Christmas jammies :) 

I have no idea why, but she loves this little house with a door. Shannon has one at daycare, then we saw one at Duckworth Wearing in Ankeny. She was SO excited. I thought I was going to have to buy it to get her out of the store! 

I was working in the kitchen and turned around to see this. She was SO proud of herself. It was an empty tub so I'm glad it didn't tip over on her. 

We were waiting for weight watchers to open so I could weigh in, so we went to Duluth Trading. She loved running around that store. Of course I made her pose for a picture on the tractor. 

She was helping me get out Christmas decor and decorate. She loved having all the tubs in the kitchen to pull things out of and to climb on! 

Helping Grandma Rita

Addison didn't have daycare for a week in November, so she got to spend a few days with Grandma Rita. She helped grandma set up her Christmas tree. She actually was a good helper.

She got out the Christmas bulbs and handed them to us to put on the tree.

She was so busy working that I couldn't get her to stop to smile for a picture!!

The last picture looks like she is sitting back giving Grandma directions. I don't remember for sure, but she probably yelled at Grandma to "get down" because she was standing on a chair!

Let's Color!

We decided that we should buy Addison some crayons and work on our coloring skills. This was the first time she colored, with us anyways. She did pretty good but doesn't press very hard though.

Just cruising around on the tractor. I must of just vacuumed based on no toys on the floor behind her - haha. I told her she needs a buddy seat on her tractor to hold all her rags!

Conner's First Communion

Well we are at least into November now, the first weekend was Conner's first communion. We unfortunately missed the communion because I had to work, but we got up there later in the day.

Who wears the pony tail better?? I think Conner is going to grow his out now :) 

Addison enjoyed watching the craziness of all the kids running around. She also enjoyed yelling at Uncle Landon to "get down". She picked that up at daycare, and it's hilarious. She reserves the phrase for when it's really needed. So you really need to stand on a chair, then she will yell at you. Landon and Addison went back and forth that day, it was pretty entertaining. 

Do I have something on my face?

I have no idea how she makes such a mess eating pudding!! But it always ends up everywhere. She ate it for lunch today too, and it ended up on her forehead. 

Our daycare gave her a goody-bag for Halloween, she thought these glasses were hilarious! We thought she LOOKED hilarious. Also, that outfit she is wearing is a 12 month outfit that we wore for probably 6 months. Addison is very petite, as people say. 

"Look Grandma Rita, I caught a mouse" - ha! This plastic mouse has somehow been around since we were kids. Landon put it in the drop ceiling in Humboldt with the tail sticking out, trying to scare our mom. It stayed there for a pretty long time. I'm not sure how I ended up with it, but Addison was loving playing with it. Grandma Rita thought they had a mouse this fall and so we made Addison take a picture to tell Grandma that we caught it for her :)

The rest of the 18 month photos

I love this one. Well I love all of them, but really love this one. I was pretty proud of myself for her outfits this go around. I did it all by myself. haha :) 

 She LOVED these gold shoes and asks to put them on whenever she sees them.

 She was watching the leaves fall. From my hands. haha. I'm not sure how Destri didn't get me in the photos, I was standing above her dropping leaves down.

This one shows her personality - such a happy fun little girl! 

Some 18 month happenings:

Words: Says mom, dad, hi, bye (while waving), woof, moo, neigh, meow(it's a funny meow), all done (while waving her arm to signal), night night

Weight: 22 pounds

Height: 27 in I think, I need to double check that one. 

Sleeps: 8:45pm to 5-6:30am. Naps once a day around 2 hours. 

Books: Loves Shoe-La-La, Hop on Pop, Peppa Pig's My Mommy, Dr. Suess's ABC, and Little Blue Truck. We read the same books over and over! 

Food: Addison has become more of a picky eater than she used to be. She loves pickles, pasta, chips (especially Doritos), tater tots, chicken, bananas, cheese sticks, pizza. No longer eats cheese slices, or cinnamon bread. Won't try things as easily as she used to and just generally doesn't eat as much. She also just licks the peanut butter off instead of eating the sandwich!
