New Couch

The Lents family had some excitement....we got new couches! We had these picked out 3 years ago when we bought the house :)

I was at work this Saturday and got these pictures from Ryan.

Addison's favorite spot on the couch. She sits there with her arm on the arm rest. You will notice now that's where most of her weekly pictures are taken, she sits there the best!

Love this groupie of Ryan and Addison. Her face makes me laugh!

The couches are great, I just wish I had time to actually sit down and enjoy them......

Week 28

In the beginning of November we had Addison's 6 month doctor appointment, complete with shots :(

This picture was pre-shots. She was LOVING the white paper. She made a mess of it.

Stats from appointment:
Weight: 16.7 lbs
Height: 26.5 inches
I don't remember exactly and don't have the sheet with me to look it up, but she was in about the 50th percentile for weight, 60th for height, and 70th for head.

This picture is post-shots. I tried really hard to get a smile......nothin'. She looks so sad! I sent this picture to Landon and his caption was "I hate you Mom & Dad". It fits. Brayden told her that morning that he had to get shots and he didn't cry. "I didn't cry at all, not even a little bit" Brayden said. Well Miss Addison cried. Mom didn't cry this time but almost. ha!

This were taken pre-shots. Still taking pictures on the floor, couch hadn't arrived yet.

She reached for the sign and tumbled over. Clearly not happy I took her picture in this form. haha

Such a happy kid! Until the shots, that is.

This one uploaded upside down and honestly I don't care at this point! I sent this one to Aunt Tracey to show her and Conner Addison found her thumb.....

We had green beans! She wasn't sure what to think of them at first, but then decided she liked them. We thought she was messy then.....geez!

But she still likes that thumb!!

First Food!

I'm about a month behind on my blog! I can't believe I'm just posting pictures of Addison's first foods.

The first time she had baby food wasn't quite as planned. We fed her applesauce because she had diarrhea for a week and applesauce is supposed to help.  It was a pretty stressful week. One of the busiest weeks of the year for me at work....and we are short staffed....and I had class.....and throw a sick kid in the mix too :) Thankfully I have an understanding work place and people willing to pitch in. Also thankful for two grandmas willing to help!

She loved the applesauce. Still one of her favorites today!

We are working on her holding a bat. She wants to be ready for Brayden next time he comes over.

Moved her into a high chair as she can get herself out of the Bumbo and it's not worth the fight! I think we had peas here and she was not a fan. She looks so clean compared to how she eats now.....maybe I took these pictures at the beginning of dinner :)

Parker came to a football game and got some one on one time with Addison. She LOVED playing peek-a-boo with him!!

These pictures aren't very good but I included them anyways. This is a cheerleading outfit I found but clearly she needs a white shirt underneath it. She thought it was funny though.

Just playing on Grandma Rita's rug with all the funny textures! In her raccoon jammies of course. Every parent who experienced the GIANT raccoons in Ames needs to have raccoon jammies for their child. hahaha

6 months

Well pictures are getting harder! Still no couch so we had to set her on the floor.

This is the best one we got. I didn't feel like fighting her for more pictures!

Grandma Rita gave Addison a Christmas toy that sings. She is very interested in it and we play it quite a bit. Pretty catching song :)

Everything is in the mouth....and no she isn't teething. We are so tired of everyone telling us she's teething!

I need to get a video of Ryan's ghost noises :)

Addison spent a day with Grandma Rita while she was sick and they made us all sorts of good food! We got a meatloaf for the freezer, deviled eggs, cookies, and a spaghetti pie with bread sticks for supper that night! They were busy little bees that day. Eating leftovers the next day and Addison was very interested in our spaghetti pie. She has become very interested in whatever we are eating!

Addison's selfie! I love this picture! We were just playing one night and she was sitting up really good so I took a selfie of her. So thankful that she is this happy at night!! She is also wearing our favorite jammies. I'm a few weeks behind on posting....wait till you see the crazy hair we have now!

26 weeks

My little pumpkin :) Still no couch so we had to use the Bumbo. Which by the way, she can get herself out of. I now know why the newer versions have seatbelts....

The picture on the right is in the swing, while swinging, so it's blurry. But I thought it was cute that she fell asleep cuddling with KiKi, her elephant.

 Getting better at sitting up!

She likes to cuddle with a burp rag or her tag blanket. The tag blanket was a great purchase, she loves that thing!

Go Buckeyes!! Cheering for Aunt Nicole this day. I actually can't remember who they were playing this day but I'm pretty sure they won. I'm writing this one a couple weeks later.

Changes

This post will be about some of the big changes for Miss Addison

Her bald ring in the back of her head is filling in. And her hair is getting lighter.

Starting to learn to sit up! Still topples pretty easy though in these photos. Which is why we have to take a selfie :)

This one doesn't show any changes, just a happy girl.

She is laying on her belly and scooting backwards. Not going forwards yet, backwards is easier!

And we are getting sick. Can't you tell?? I had to pick her up early this day.

Rolling over on the changing table. Speaking of changes, we will mention that her "Addy-mark" as we call it has not changed. She has the one on her right shoulder and left fore-finger. Both are unchanged and that is good news!

Awww....this picture makes me happy and sad at the same time. I took this picture because I wanted to remember what it was like to hold my sweet sleeping baby. It makes me sad for how much she has grown already but happy because she is such a little person now and soooo fun to play with!! During maternity leave I was focused on putting her down so that she would learn to sleep on her own. Ryan and I never held her while she slept because we didn't want to start that habit. And I don't regret that at all because she will sleep on her own.....but sometimes, we just can't help ourselves and we hold her for a little longer than we should. And the sad part comes in because I feel like I miss so much when I'm at work and school. But I remind myself that I have to work so I can buy Addison all the pretty things she deserves! (Ryan and my opinions differ on that one- ha!).
