Valentine's Day

This little dude LOVES his dinosaur bath towel. My old co-worker made this hooded towel and Mason has to have it every bath (if it's clean). It was one of the best baby gifts! After every bath, he wants me to wrap him up like a baby and then we have to go show Ryan and Addison. Then he says "goo goo ga ga" or pretends to cry. 

Mason wore Christmas jammies and Addison wore Valentine's outfit to school one day :) 

Mason and Addison were playing with Addison's doll stuff and found a baby pacifier that we had gotten from Parker. They thought they were so funny playing with pacifiers. Both kids used to have a pacifier but we got rid of them before they were 18 months. Mason didn't know what to do with the pacifier and chewed right through it. Ha! 

Kelly sent us a scavenger hunt for Valentine's Day, they had a blast! They absolutely loved it. Mason didn't have a clue what was going on, but he was excited because Addison was excited. That week, I had to make up two more scavenger hunts for her. Ha!

Ryan would rather not post these photos.....his little boy is wearing ponytails and loved it! Addison put all these ponytails in Mason's hair. Then she helped him look in the mirror to check them out. 

Addison's Valentine's box that her and Ryan built. She did Wreck it Ralph last year, Frozen this year. I thought they made a pretty good castle! 

This picture cracked me up. Addison plays with my hair sometimes, and then I play with her's. This night, I was busy and as I walked through my room, I see this. Addison is brushing Mason's curls while they watch TV. Ha!

Dinosaur Footprints

Picture is sideways and I'm too lazy to edit it and re-upload it. We did footprint art, dinosaurs this time. 

 This guy likes getting the muffin cups and pretending to cook with the spices. He managed to get the cinnamon opened and dumped a whole pile and then rubbed his legs in it. UGH! Wouldn't have been so bad but I had to pay FOUR DOLLARS for that bottle at Fareway because I forgot at Aldi's and Fareway brand was sold out. Crazy kid.

Oh his favorite perch at the Ames house. He LOVES that he can see out the window and watch all the cars and dogs go by. He gets so excited. 

Love them curls!

Aww.... Mason's curls!! We LOVED the curls :) They were so soft and cute. I tried to take lots of pictures of the curls so we would always remember them (knowing this kid is not having long hair as long as we can help it!). His daycare teacher loved his curls. Every morning when I dropped off, Jenny would hold him and he would put his head on her shoulder while she ran her fingers through his curls. Ha! 

We went to a gymnastics meet and got us a clone cone! Mason wouldn't smile for my picture. I love the gymnastics meets. I like gymnastics itself, but there is also good music, close seats and always something going on! 

But again, he kept his eyes peeled for Cy and would wave to him! 

Oh some sick kiddos. Good thing is, 6 months later I don't remember anything about them being sick this time. So it must not have been too bad! 
 

Impulse Buy

This seems like so long ago.....this was one of Mason's first times eating a snack at the table like a big kid. He was so proud to sit in the big chair and use a plate. 

Quite the impulse buy for the Lents family..... we bought a tailgate tent! They had a super clearance sale on ISU tailgate tents and Ryan & I indulged. Addison was so excited. But.... we weren't sure how to fit it in the car! The picture is the tent sticking up from the back end. We made it work.

In the winter swimming session, Addison and her teacher would coordinate what color they painted their nails. Then they would have me take a picture of them. Addison loved this teacher! 

Again, seems so funny to be posting this now, but back in January Mason was practicing going up and down the stairs walking like a big kid instead of crawling. He's come so far! 
 

Let's go Cyclones!

It was winter time but Addison wanted to wear her new rainbow crocs. Girl loves her crocs! Grandma bought them for Christmas. Now that it's summer, she wears them almost every day! 

Addison and I went to a basketball game with Kelly and Grandpa Ron. Addison didn't have matching yellow pom poms but she knew Grandma Rita did at the Ames house. So we called Kelly and asked her to bring us the matching pom (Addison knew exactly where to find it). When we got to the game, every seat had a yellow pom on it (ironic yes). Kelly told Addison that she brought one for everyone. Addison believed her. Addison asked where she got them all and Kelly said "amazon". Addison replied "Oh my mom just bought stuff from Amazon". Ha! She came home and told Ryan that Kelly ordered pom poms for everyone at the game. Ha! 

I brought Addison a ring pop for her "treat" during the game, she was excited. 

We brought home a bunch of poms, they played with them for a long time that night!

Brrr........

Mason's daycare said to send snow clothes one day. Putting snow clothes on 15 1-2 years sounds awful! Probably why they only did it once this winter! Ha! I'm guessing he didn't move, but at least he didn't cry :)

As it's 85 degrees today, we look at a picture of Addison bundled up for the bitterly cold! She got that scarf for Christmas and loved it. 

Could they be cuter?!?! I love when they read together. This was Addison's favorite book for YEARS. I got really tired of this book......it's one where you have to say "find the camel" and all the items are labeled so she knows there are a ton of things to find! 

 Ha, I was looking on Disney plus one morning and found the show "Dinosaurs". Landon and I would watch this when we were younger, I think Ryan did too. Sent this picture to Landon since Nolan is obsessed with dinosaurs to see if they had found this show yet! 

Horns down baby!

The kids went to the ISU vs Texas basketball game. They were pretty excited. Nolan and Landon taught them "horns down baby" :) 

Addison may think the name of the school is "Horns down". Sometimes she will be watching TV and they will show Texas and she says "I'm rooting for Horns Down" - haha! 

Mason can't find Cy! He always keeps tab on the bird - ha! 

 ISU won and a good time was had by all!
