Happy Mother's Day

I got to sleep in a little bit on Mother's Day. Ryan mentioned once in conversation with Addison that morning "Maybe we should go get donuts for Mom". She exclaimed "Donuts!!" and ran to get in her chair. She was extremely disappointed when Ryan told her they had to go buy donuts. She wanted a donut RIGHT NOW. haha! So they got dressed and went to buy donuts, I got up because I could hear her squealing. :)

We didn't realize she really knew the word "donut" but apparently she does!

She was wearing my shoes and reading my book. She continually takes my bookmark out so I have to search for where I left off!

Annual Mother's Day photo. We didn't do too much, went out to eat, did a little shopping and just relaxed at home after a very busy week at work for me. It was a great day!

Meat makes you strong

The one photo where we took a selfie and she actually smiled :)

She is flexing in the photos above. Ryan tells her if she eats her meat, she will be strong. And it actually worked, although we don't think she has any clue what strong means!

She was sick one day so I had to stay home with her. But it was a pretty busy time at work so I was trying to answer some emails. Addison got her laptop and her cell phone and set up shop next to me. I was amused, haha!

My new hat

Addison opened her gift from Brad, Lori, Nolan and Garrett. She thought her new kickball was a hat. She kept telling us to put it on her. As much as she liked it as a hat, I think she likes the ball better!

Aw, the pigs and dice. One of her favorite toys. If you can call it a toy. I'm not even really sure where they came from. I think the dice were just extra dice I threw in a bag and the pigs were from a jacks came. But Addison LOVES them. She loves to take them out, line them up, put them in cups, then put them back in the bag. She's been trying to put them on a spoon and carry them as she walks so she can join in on the silly games the Julius family plays. She watched us play that game with Brayden, seeing how far he could walk across the room without dropping the items on the spoon. Now she's been playing it on her own. It's so funny the things she picks up!

Ryan tried to get her picture again while I was at work. Not much better. Ha! Oh well.

My running partner. I was trying for a race and have been taking Addison out running with me. She LOVES to go out with me. She's sees me getting ready and she runs to get her shoes. It's definitely harder to run with the stroller, but that's okay. I enjoy the company. Although, I joke with Ryan that he's putting words in her mouth......If I stop to take a break, she keeps saying "Run? Run?" Haha! Give me a break kid!

I snuck over her shoulder, I love watching her play with her dolls. There are two new little ones at daycare now, so she's very into feeding and putting her babies down for a nap! Last night, we even saw her pretending to put paint on her dolls hands and feet and then pushing them down on the floor, like she was making a craft at daycare. haha!

Addy's Two!

Pictures are growing increasing more difficult......

Trying to show me she's "two"

Oh wait, I see a toy I want to play with.....

And she's gone. ha! We tried for about 10 minutes and these are literally the only photos we got. She's on the run! Next time I guess I need to try animal crackers or cookies for bribery. She is learning a little about bribery, I try it a lot. She's not great at drinking water, so we tell her she has to take a drink of water then she can have her milk :)

More cookies....

She wanted to wear her crown from daycare. She was so excited for another cookie :)

It's rare anymore that we get good smiles, but she took a good selfie here! Ha!

Happy Birthday, Again

So I really wanted to do something fun for Addison for her birthday. I wanted a weekend of celebrating :)  But since she wasn't feeling well and I had to work on her actual birthday, we had to postpone the fun activities. So the weekend after, we went and got donuts. Of course I had to try to make her blow out candles again. She was not thrilled about a sprinkle donut in front of her and not being able to eat it right away - ha!

And since she's two and couldn't care less what we do, we decided to do something fun by going to a new park. Ha! Figured I better save money for birthdays when she's older and actually cares....

There is a really nice park in Ankeny that had tons of activities for her size. She was quite excited!

So I thought she was too small for this slide, but Ryan said she was ready. It had some bumps in the slide. She did really good, she went down it a few times. I was impressed. Then we put her on the edge slide, which curves a little, and she flipped over and banged her head on the edge. Then there were tears. But we made her go down a slide again before we left so she wouldn't be scared :)

And this is how she fell asleep after the park. With her rag in her teeth. haha!

Addison LOVES cookies. So it's really fun to give her one because she gets really excited! And her cookies had Paw Patrol characters on them and that gets her even more excited. Skye was her favorite at the time and that's who is on this cookie.

These were the cookies she took to daycare for her birthday. Grandma Rita came up with the idea, they turned out great!

Like mother like daughter

I had cereal one morning and Addison kept stealing bites. So I got her her own bowl. She actually did pretty good! I LOVE cereal, and apparently so does she!

This one just made me laugh - she was relaxing, reading her new book, but had to stop to check her phone :) haha!

I was getting ready for work one day and came out of the bathroom to see this. She was watching Bubble Guppies, with a remote that doesn't work for that TV, and Ryan's slippers on. She even found a pillow to sit on. haha!

Birds and bunnies

She learned quick the word "I-pad" and what's on the Ipad. I had downloaded a few shows from Amazon prime, one of them being her favorite...Bubble Guppies.

She's watching for birds and bunnies. With no trees in the area, it's surprising that we do actually have quite a few birds or bunnies in the area. They like to hide under the stairs of our deck. Addison LOVES it!

Goofy kid, she loves to put the Mr. Potato Head pieces on herself. Or she makes us put them on her.

She's still carrying Skye around, it had been a couple weeks at this point. But she loves carrying the soap around the house - ha!

Time for cake!

Addison was getting tired of all the photos but she still did pretty good :)

Now the good stuff. She doesn't get cake often, or hardly ever actually, and she thought it was pretty darn good. It's about the only thing she ate that day!

We thought this photo was pretty hilarious, that look she's giving Parker - ha!

We spent a little more time outside after naptime.

Addison was loving my old Mickey Mouse phone. It's not hooked up anymore but Grandma still kept it. I got this phone when I was in about 4th or 5th grade. I was soooo excited. Tracey had a Mickey phone where his hand held the receiver. I wanted one just like it. I was pretty obsessed and was sooo happy when mom bought me one. I spent a lot of hours on this phone talking to Erin!

I remembered and dug out this one of Makena. Pretty darn cute!

Well it was a short day but she was sure tuckered out. She had as good as birthday celebration as she good with a 101 degree fever :) We saved most of the gifts for later, but that's okay. We only got about two or three gifts open.
