First Trip to Missoura

Week 18 consisted of her first trip to Missoura to see her crazy Uncle Landon, Aunt Nicole, and Cousin Brayden. We told Uncle Landon that Addison was nervous about going to Missoura because she didn't have a pair of jorts like Uncle Landon. He told her not to worry, she's bald, has a big belly and no teeth, she will think she found her long lost relatives in Missoura!!

Fell asleep as we were driving by the DSM airport. With her head at this awkward angle. She slept the entire way. And still slept once we took her in the house!

We wouldn't be hanging out with Brayden Kris Bryant if we didn't play baseball! Kris Bryant is #17 if you didn't know. Addison and I cheered loud.

They were trying to see who could make Addison smile first. Brayden tried pretty hard but I think Landon won.

Can't remember if they were watching Friends or the Cubs. Addison loves both :)

This was the first time she legitimately (with no help) got her toe in her mouth!! We were pretty excited.

Addison got her first ride on a golf cart!! She loved feeling that wind in her hair

We even got to sit up front with Uncle Landon! Ryan, Brayden and Nicole were on the back. Brayden was hunting Pokemon.

We convinced Brayden to sit with Addison for some pictures. When he decided he was done, he got up and left....and Addison slowly fell over on her side. We forgot she needs a little support yet to sit up :)

Addison and Uncle Landon! She thought he was pretty funny.

She slept the whole way home from Kansas City - I hope car rides are always this easy!! We took our 18 week pictures right away when we got home.

Then within about 30 minutes of getting home, she was taking another nap. She was one tired kid! All in all, it was a great weekend in KC. We wanted to get there before I started school and football season arrived! We just had to see that new golf cart and basketball hoop Brayden got :)

Week 17

Week 17! Addison is growing and changing every day. She has gotten so much stronger in the last month. She loves to stand on your lap. Or on the counter. Or just standing anywhere! She has gotten really good at grabbing toys from the floor or her play mat. She holds onto toys really well and gets them in her mouth. She is very vocal and tells lots of stories! Also, I'm not sure if I have put this in here, but she is actively rolling from her tummy to back and back to tummy. She has been doing this for quite a while, so not new news :)

This post just has random photos

This is how she sits in the bumbo. Most babies would sit nicely and just be happy to look around and watch you do things. Not my kid. She thrashes around in the bumbo. If you face her one way, she tries to turn to face the other way. She always has to have her hands entertained or something in her mouth. I swear she is going to wiggle her way out of this thing! The bumbo is usually soaked when we get her out as she drools so much and is always putting something in her mouth.

Haha, love this pictures. Ryan and I decided we should prepare her for cold weather. The only hat we could find was an infant hat, it was a little tight on her. And we put socks on her. She has had socks on only a handful of times since she was born. This pictures is not flattering, she looks like a tank! She did put up with both the hat and the socks longer than we expected.

We were running errands in town one night and she fell asleep in the car on the way home. Brought her in the house and saw that Coco's foot was in between her mouth and the pacifier. I thought it was funny :) She is able to put her pacifier back in her mouth on her own. So she did that on the way home.

Got this picture in class one night, I almost burst out laughing. Ryan tried on her baseball hat that was one of the other kids'. It was a little big but he said it fit backwards. Crazy kid!!

ISU Fan Fest

Well I guess you can tell that it's September....I'm busy at work and school and haven't posted in a while!

It was a beautiful Sunday on August 21, so we headed to Ames for the Cyclone Fan Fest!
In the car on the way!

First trip to the stadium. Even though we didn't go inside.

This expression was on her face 98% of the time we were there.
Fan Fest was inside the Bergstrom Building. We were able to skip the very long line to get in because Grandma Rita and Grandpa Ron got there early! So we just snuck in with them....

We did get a little smile :) It was very warm in the Bergstrom Building. So why Ryan and I waited in line, my mom took her outside where it was actually cooler.

She got to meet her boy D! Last basketball season, we always talked to Baby J about "your boy D", referring to Deonte Burton. I asked if he would hold her for a picture and he excitedly said sure and stood up to get her. He just stared and smiled at her, I actually told him to look up for the picture! He told us he could just keep her. :)

So next I asked Coach Campbell if he would hold her. He looked around and said "well I'm not supposed but sure let's do it!" He has 6 month old at home.

We weren't supposed to be taking pictures, there were signs everywhere that said no pictures. The event was for autographs. So we didn't push our luck any further!

First time meeting Cy! She was excited, you can see. haha.

I think she fell asleep immediately after we left Cy. We walked out the building and she was sound asleep.

Guess that means it was a successful day!!

Getting ready for Halloween

I had the day off....so that means me and Addy play dress up and taken pictures! I think she was in 4 different outfits that day. I couldn't resist getting out Conner's Turtle Costume! I wish we still had Makena's chick, that was pretty darn cute.

The Turtle was the last outfit change of the day, so I think she was done with my sillyness. She was not amused but I made her stay in it long enough to get some pictures!

So cute!! I think it's adorable.

This one was actually the first picture. She was like a turtle on it's shell (hehe) flailing her arms and legs around. Once I flipped her over, she quit crying. haha!

And yes, there was spit-up on the turtle from Conner. Seriously, the kid probably wore the outfit for an hour and there were three separate stains.....

I'm sure I will be posting more costumes. I know we have Parker's Gorilla in the tub. I'm so excited for her halloween outfits. We have halloween headbands in our mailbox today from Amazon :) I resisted buying the Halloween leg warmers. For now anyways.

Our little cupcake

Ryan's new favorite outfit to dress her in.....it says "Daddy's Little Cupcake". Normally I don't like outfits that say stuff like that, but this one was PERFECT. Ryan could eat a diet of cake-only. :) I thought the cupcake on her bottom was pretty darn cute. Ryan is under protest though because he thought the picture wasn't complete since he didn't have a cupcake in the other hand. :) Next time.

Lifting her head is hard work, haven't mastered the lifting the head and smiling quite yet. She can roll over from her belly to her back. She doesn't do it every time she's on her belly, which is good. She is getting really close to rolling over from her back to her belly. Just can't quite pull that arm through!

Now that we found those toes, we got to play with them all the time. This is how she sits. I think this picture is so funny, such a straight face. It's not like I missed the smile either. Just straight faced. This was right when we got home from daycare. she rode in the car like this!

Telling her friend the fan about her day while Mom does laundry :)

4 months

Week 17! That was just last week, so now I feel like I can say I'm caught up :) I've really enjoyed writing this and looking back at her pictures. I just can't believe how fast she is growing. I feel like I'm missing so much being back at work. And things will get even harder next week when I start school again. Just keep telling myself I have to get through 12 weeks of classes, then I get a break. 12 weeks isn't that long is it?? ha! Ryan keeps saying the first half of my masters went fast, the second half will too.

I LOVE this picture (have I ever said that phrase before?) So happy in her ISU apparel. The other night Ryan and I were playing with her, I could just sit and watch her smile, talk and kick all day long. She is just so entertaining! I say that now, and she doesn't do much. :)

I'm not sure why, but now when I look at this picture, I see a little bit of cousin Brayden in it. I don't see either of us in her at all. I dug out our baby pictures a few days ago. I see Ryan's nephew Nolan in Ryan a lot, I was surprised. We didn't have many good baby pictures to compare with Addison though. When people ask who she looks like, I respond "She looks like Addison". :) I will have to post our baby pictures another day.

She's eating Coco's tail. You can see the shine on Coco from her drool. He was drenched and the bumbo was too. She struggled to hold onto Coco, apparently because he was too slippery

And apparently she had enough bumbo time. This was a fake out though. One loud cry and that was it :)

4 Months old!! Clearly she is sitting up better and we are getting more smiles on command than 3 months. Her Target pictures were better at 4 months too. I will post those when I get them.

I remember to take her picture of stats too. You can't read the weight real well, it's 14 pounds. We are hurrying to use all her size 1 diapers as they are a bit tight :)

Addison and her pal Gwen. She only pulled her hair a little bit this time.

Taking after Cousin Conner by having spit up on her shirt for pictures. Seriously, the shirt was on less than 5 minutes before I took the pictures!
She looks long in this picture! She is growing out of her 3-6 month jammies. One night last week, Ryan put on some hand-me jammies that he LOVED because they said "I Love Daddy" on them. I walked in her room while he was dressing her one night and heard the fabric almost tear as he was trying to squeeze her in them! She was too long. And yes he made her wear them "one last time". And just last night he was digging through the drawer looking for another pair of jammies that might say "I love daddy" on them. Ha!
