ISU Basketball

Due to COVID, we didn't have season basketball tickets to basketball this year. They were only letting in a small percentage of fans in. We bought tickets for 3 games this year. The first game, there was a blizzard so we stayed home. This was the second game we had tickets for. It had gotten rescheduled a few times due to COVID. 

"Date night" I guess. 

Lisa and Justin were kind enough to watch Addison & Mason :) We looked into buying Addison a ticket, but it would have been $45 per ticket and you had to buy two. Her and Violet are just under 2 years apart and the same size. Addison is just a little pipsqueak.

Addison being protective of her brother. Henry and Violet were excited to have playmates. Violet enjoys baby Mason. Addison loves the fact that they have a trampoline in their basement, she thinks that is super cool! 

 Mason took a little snooze, Lisa and Justin took turns holding him :) Everyone loves a sleeping baby! 

Oh yea, the Cyclones got smoked. Ugh. But the kids had fun! 

Dance Class

Every night at dance class, they set up a little obstacle course (for lack of a better description). She loves it! She jumps over things, uses the trampoline, balance beam, etc. 

She loves this dance class, I think because it doesn't challenge her and we sit and watch each class.

Oh this was a sad day. Our in-home daycare, Shannon, was closing. Addison went to Shannon and then Mason went there for about 6 months. We were pretty sad, Shannon was great. We miss Shannon but we are happy for the time we got to spend there. 

 

Blast Off!!

Addison got a space ship tent from Grandma Rita & Grandpa Ron for Christmas. She thinks it's super cool! It has all the buttons and gadgets for her to push as we are going up in space. There is also a dart board and a tic tac toe game for entertainment. We should have put her orange astronaut costume on!

Mason was having a good time as well!

Happy guy clapping his hands :) I loved those jammies, I think they are so cute! But I think kids in footie jammies is about the cutest thing. 

He threw his head back laughing, I got a good shot of all those teeth on the top. He got a bunch of teeth at the same time, then now it's been a few months since he's gotten any. He has 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom. He likes to use those teeth...... to bite. Ugh! He bites me quite a bit, usually when I'm holding him and he bites me on the shoulder. Sometimes he will try to bite our legs. He acts all nice and cuddly then chomps down. Ha! 

 

Sports Day

It was sports day at school, with no question, Addison wanted to wear her cheerleading outfit. She had about 4 outfits to chose from :) She wanted to wear her two ISU bows and completed the outfit with cowboy boots.

Addison was in the picture-taking mood this day. 

She wanted to take our photo too. This girl loves her dad! 

And this guy loves his straw cup. We weren't going to make the same mistake twice, we started this guy on sippy cups early. I think it's working! 

 

Twinkle Toes

Look at this happy little guy! 

Addison always helps with his photos and wants a picture with her little brother too. She calls him "buddy" and talks to him in a high pitch voice. 

Addison got this big Hershey's kiss from Valentine's Day. Her and Ryan were dying to eat it. I'm not sure which one was more excited! I'm not sure what is going on with the picture on the right, I think we told her to make a funny face and that's what we got. I would say that's a pretty funny face :) 

 Dance class! The City of Ankeny finally opened classes back up, so I got Addison signed up for Twinkle Toes. She was so excited! It was pretty cold outside and I found some leg warmers in her drawer. So we wore them to dance. Ha! 

9 month appointment

This kid loves to play catch and wasn't going to give up the ball. 

Addison wanted Mason to sit with her, his face looks a little scared. As he should be. ha! 

At the doctor! At the 9 month appointment, we were told that he should be crawling (he wasn't) and he should be pulling himself up on things (he wasn't). So we got home and Ryan got to work. 

We go for his 12 month appointment tomorrow, and he is kind of crawling.... but not totally. He is scooting and rolling around, he's definitely getting to where he wants to be. But not crawling by formal definition. And he's not pulling himself to standing....he pulls up to his knees but that's it. We will see how "trouble" we are in tomorrow!

My happy little Valentine :) These were at Shannon's, she always did fun little holiday activities with the kiddos. She also made him a little gift, Addison was super excited for all Mason's goodies.
