I-Cubs Game

We somehow never made it to an I-cubs game that summer, so we had to make sure we got to at least one game! Every year we have to take a picture for Brayden in front of the Kris Bryant poster.

This picture makes me laugh, we didn't realize the face she made until we looked at the photos later. We say she was upset that we didn't have front row seats :) It was a Friday night and she was pretty excited for the fireworks. 

Don't worry, she was actually happy :) 

Watching them clean-up at the end. I can't remember exactly what time it was, but it was probably after 10pm. She did not want to leave, she was loving the baseball game. She has asked us a few times to take her to a Chicago Cubs baseball game. We probably won't make it there this summer, but someday kid. We will have to settle for I-cubs again this summer :) 

Nolan's Baptism

In August we headed down to KC for Nolan's Baptism. We hadn't seen Nolan in a few months so we knew he had changed a ton! Addison was so excited to see him. 

A good lookin' family! Brayden was 7 years old and Nolan was 5 months old. Nolan did great during the service and baptism. 

Brayden teaching Addison how to farm. She liked playing with the corn and the auger (who wouldn't?) 

She LOVES to tease Landon - she squeezes his leg, he says "ouch!" and she just laughs and laughs.

Had Brayden take our picture with Nolan. Addison was pretty excited to be next to Nolan. It was a quick trip that day, we went down and back in the same day. But it was still fun! 

No nap and lots of excitement, she was asleep within 5 minutes of leaving their house. She couldn't even finish her snack of string cheese. I can't remember for sure, but this might have been one of the trips home from KC where she slept the whole way. 

Jumping House

We didn't get out the jumping house as much as we probably should have last summer. Maybe we will do it more this summer. This was last July and it's already March! I really need to catch up on my posting!

Cousins minus Addison - And yes they are at a brewery. What a good picture of the crew though! Makena has really shot up, can't believe she's a teenager! 

Blank Park Zoo

On a beautiful Saturday in July, we met the Thraens & Noltings at the Blank Park Zoo. The kids enjoyed the zoo and watching all the big animals. (I swear I already did a post on these photos but couldn't find it. So I did it again)

Lauren and I couldn't remember the last time we took a picture together!

We took Addison on the zoo train. Opinion post-ride - we will never do that again. It was the most pathetic train ride ever! It's track goes behind the zoo so you see trees/brush on one side and the back of buildings on the other. You pass by the camels and lions but Addison couldn't even them. Clearly did not reach my expectations - ha! 

There was water at the bottom of the egg so Addy wouldn't get in - so Ryan did. 

Every time we go to a zoo, we need to take a picture with the giraffes for Tracey! 

Flying Fun

Addison and I were offered a bump for vouchers for Allegiant, we took it :) We stayed an extra day and were finally headed home. Addison does great in the airport with me, she carries her own owl backpack with toys.

On the plane ready to go! But then we sat in the plane for an hour and half waiting for a big storm to pass. Yikes. It's already a 3 hour flight so I wasn't too excited about being in there longer! The little boy across the aisle really wasn't excited, he screamed pretty much the whole time. Felt bad for that family, the grandma sat next to me and said that was their first flight (adults too). They didn't even have snacks for the kids, clearly it was their first rodeo - ha! I shared some of ours as we always have plenty :) 

The flight attendants came by after an hour and half and gave everyone glasses of water a cup of chex mix. Addison was thrilled, she loves chex mix. Then as they were handing it out we got cleared for take off. My biggest concern on this flight was that I would have to take her to the bathroom, but we made it without going :) haha

And while we were flying home, Brayden was taking his first flight alone from KC to Minneapolis. He was pretty excited. Nicole said he did great! 

And Conner & Parker were there to pick him up. Brayden spent the weekend with his cousins and they had a great time! 

Making a Target Run

 As we were driving in the car, Addison sees Target go by and gets super excited!! She kept telling me, "Mom, I just need to go to Target." When asked what she needed she replies "I just need to go mom" Ha! Well she was in luck, a few days later Grandma Rita needed to go to Target. Addison was ecstatic :)

As we were killing time before we needed to go to the airport, we took a few family pictures :) 

Me & my girl! We had great time on vacation but figured Ryan was probably missing us and we needed to go home..... 

Pickleball

Pickleball is a popular past-time in Fort Myers. Conner & Parker have picked up on it too and love going to play when we are in Florida. 

Addison and I were the spectators for this round of pickleball. 

There were some real dark clouds rolling in and the thunder was rumbling. 

After some really big lightning strikes and super loud thunder, we decided we had better call the game. 

We took a real quick picture and than ran to the car..... trying to outrun the rain! 

We took the boys to an arcade one night. Addison thought the place was pretty cool too. 

The boys spent an hour playing while Addy, Grandma Rita, and Kelly went shopping. They could have stayed a few hours longer! Grandpa Ron spent a lot of hours in arcades with Landon and I growing up, I wonder if this brought up memories for him. :)
