The trampoline!

I apparently uploaded my photos a little out of order. Now we are back to the farm Memorial Day weekend. Addison gained some confidence and wanted to jump on her own this time. She would count "1, 2, 3, GO!" She makes the other person jumping with her count too. She had the time of her life!

Ryan was so proud that she actually got some air. We have been working on jumping (on solid ground) and she doesn't really get air. Finally, she gets her feet off the ground now!

My two favorites :) Addison did okay with the dogs once she got used to them. She doesn't like Rocky's barking, but really, who does?? JJ leaves the kids alone and Rocky pretty much does, but sometimes he gets too close and Addison freaks out.
I love this photo, it's like they are talking to each other. ha! Addison learned two things that weekend "Good boy" from listening to me pet the dogs. And "Get" from listening to Grandma Rita talk to the dogs. ha! Of course, I loved hearing her say "good boy" when talking about the dogs. Although later that week, she petted Ryan's head and said "good boy" - haha!

Seriously, one of my favorite photos. :)

Here is her video from jumping on the trampoline.

More two year old photos

She let us put her down...but she wasn't going to let go!

And when we tried to get a photo by herself....she cried. She was very upset. And cold. ha!

Usually a hug makes everything better for this kiddo....not today!

We went into Gerdin to warm up. She was pretty much down with photos at this point, but we kept trying. I even changed outfits but it wasn't much warmer....lol.

Looking for bunnies. She was so ready to be done with "the torture" - haha

She was playing with my bracelets. I should have brought more toys or snacks. Another lesson learned!
The few minutes Ryan and I took a few photos....she bawled.

One last attempt.....

And the last photo, seems like the big yawn is fitting. ha! I was pretty disappointed we didn't get great photos of Addison by herself, but we got a few good family ones right at the beginning so that was nice. I've lost over 30 pounds since our family photo a year ago so at least we got the living room photo updated...haha!! We aren't not short on photos of Addison, so I think everything will be okay :)

Two year old photos

This feels like forever ago, the first weekend in May we had our family photos taken. I learned my lesson this year. I will be doing it later in May when it might be a little warmer. It was a little chilly that day and poor Addison was freezing! Sorry kiddo.

We are on campus at Lagomarcino. It was really a pretty area, I actually had never been to this part of the building. Part of me wishes I worked in the heart of campus, ISU's campus is one of my all-time favorite places!

My little sweet pea was not real fond of Destri......she was in this "terrified of anyone that isn't Mom, Dad, or Shannon" phase. It's rough!! She would actually "yell" at people who talked to her or got within 10 feet of her. She did AMAZING at her 18 month photos so Destri thought this would be a breeze. WRONG. It was a really rough day, but we got a few good family ones at least.

I think part of the snuggles was that she was freezing too.....oops :)

She wouldn't let us put her down, so all the good photos one of us is holding her!

Grandpa's little buddy

Addison thoroughly enjoyed the buddy seat. I told her when she's a little older, she can ride all day in the buddy seat! She looks pretty good in that buddy seat if I do say so myself.

Grandpa showed her that the wheel can come down more to her level. She was so funny, she was busy moving the wheel and "shifting" gears. It was SO HOT in the tractors but she wanted to sit in there. For a long time. We had to go sit in every tractor in the yard. I didn't tell her there were more in the shed!! She kept saying "'Mon" which means "come on" and went from tractor to tractor.

We also didn't know if she would like the four wheeler. Once again, she loved it. This was her first ride. Landon found the sweet spot. She didn't hesitate one bit to ride with "other people" aka anyone but me and Ryan. Any adult going to get on the four wheeler, she was on their heels. ha!

Grandma Rita decided it was time to teach Addison to ride a bike. haha!

Brayden had his pitching machine so we could play some baseball. Addison wanted to be like "the big kids" and wanted to play too. We are starting to work on her baseball skills. We are trying to at least get her to hold the bat right......haha. We have a ways to go.....

Memorial Day Weekend

Landon, Nicole and Brayden came up to IA for Memorial Day weekend. Landon and Brayden stopped at our house for a little bit. Brayden gave Addison the doll he's holding for her birthday. I asked him if he would take a picture with Addison and the baby. He hesitated but he did do it. As you can see, he wasn't so sure about "holding" the baby. And notice Addison was trying to hold the other baby the same way Brayden was holding his - haha!

We headed to the farm and Addison insisted on taking one of her babies with her. Good thing the baby can feed itself :)

This is Addison's "dinosaur". This was the first time we had seen it. She also says "Roar" in a very monotone voice - haha!

We weren't sure on how Addison would like a tractor ride. It was about this age that Conner was terrified of tractors. Not our kid! (yet anyways).

Grandpa Ron, Brayden, and Addison going for a tractor ride. Addison LOVED it!!

Photo with the planter. Addison didn't actually ride while Grandpa was planting, maybe when she's a little older. I would hate for her to get out there and then decide she's done. You never know with a two year old! But riding around the farm was satisfying for her.

Bubbles!

Addison LOVES bubbles. She loves to stomp on them in the grass. She was insisting that she blew them herself, that didn't go so well. We have been trying to teach her how to do it. It's taken about a month but this week she is finally blowing hard enough.

She enjoys cruising in the driveway on her little car. She can shift the car and it makes noise.

This is what happens when you tell a 2 year old that she can't hold the bubble container - ha! It was an EPIC meltdown.

One Saturday morning, Addison was quite cranky. I had worked a 17 hour day the day before, and by 7am the next morning.....I was ready for Monday!! Yikes. We are spoiled, we don't usually have a cranky kid. So when we do, it's pretty rough, haha. By 8am, she fell asleep under the kitchen table. She NEVER just falls asleep while playing. So I thought this was pretty funny. She slept under the table for about 2 hours. Then woke up good as new :)

Delicious!

Addison has really into baking cookies lately. And she loves to share....although she keeps giving me the chocolate ones when I want the white ones. Ha!

We taught her the word "delicious" and we thought it was pretty cute. However, we only can get her to use it when she's pretending to eat, not when she's actually eating!

So the skirt on this outfit is a touch big and this is the first time she's ever tried or realized she could pull her pants down - ha! She pulled her pants down and she was trying to figure out how to pull them back up. It was hard for us to watch without helping, but she eventually got them back up! She wore the same outfit yesterday and now she's learned to hike her skirt back up when it's falling down. It's pretty funny to watch. I told her I would feed her more desserts so her skirt would fit. :)
