San Diego Post #6

Rule #1 - If mom or dad hold Garrett, they hold Addison too.

My little teenager at the dinner table. That cell phone has been a lifesaver though! It has saved us at many dinners and on car rides! It stays in the diaper bag so it's a "treat". It's so funny because the dog on the screen will say bye and wave, Addison says "bye" and waves back :)

She did this without prompting. And yes she is wearing sunglasses.

Ready for a day at the zoo! Kids are checking out the maps to see where they want to go first.

The pictures don't show it, but Addison was not real fond of the gorilla statues. And there is no picture to show my little caged animal.....Once you let Addison get out of the stroller, it's a fight to get her back in!

Nolan likes the statues :)

San Diego Post #5

This one looks like an odd angle, apparently I didn't adjust it before upload it. She was just staring at her feet as she walked.

Sorry kiddo, you didn't have sandals. I dug out the pink sandals from last summer and we tried them on. Your toes curled to fit in them but you still ran around the basement in them! We didn't pack them and made you wear tennis shoes.

But we at least took them off so you could feel the sand between your toes!

You weren't so sure about getting your feet dirty. And the water was pretty cold!!

The family selfie turned out pretty good!

Lots of pictures to scrapbook! It was a beautiful beach, however I could have went for 95 degrees :) It just seems wrong to wear pants and long sleeves on a beach.

San Diego Post #4

More site-seeing. Addison did pretty good here, thankfully she liked being held most of the time. This was not a place for a wild two year old to run!

There are little pools of water in between the rocks and some little fish/animals can get stuck in the pools. Ryan and Addison are looking to see if they can find anything.

There are some pretty impressive rocks/cliffs.

Checking out the caves

We couldn't put our toes in the water at this stop, that's up next!

San Diego Post #3

Both kiddos taking a nap on our way to the first outing on Saturday. Nolan wanted to wear his sunglasses since Addison had hers :)

We went to the Cabrillo National Monument to enjoy the view.

Dad and Addison pointing out some boats.

Hitchin' a ride. Addison is normally scared when Ryan puts her on his shoulders, but she pushed through this day. Notice she's squeezing his cheeks pretty good :)

San Diego Post #2

She actually ASKED Uncle Brad to put her in the hammock. Shocking! She is sooo timid/scared of other people. She goes to Grandma Rita & Grandpa Ron and that's it. She barely lets anyone take her, especially if we were there. Guess that hammock was worth it!!

They have a pretty awesome house with an awesome view over a park. Addison liked to stand at the railing and look at the dogs/people in the park.

First time with sidewalk chalk! She did better than I thought she would. So she got some in her Easter basket :)

Uncle Ryan and Garrett! I didn't caption the reaction from Addison to this photo. She was stunned and starting wailing. It took us a second to figure it out. She DID NOT want to share her dad. Shortly after this, I was sitting on the couch with Garrett on my lap and she climbed up and tried to discreetly keep pushing him so eventually he wouldn't be on my lap :) ha!

She enjoyed playing with Nolan's kitchen - it makes noise!

These two goofballs didn't get much eating done.....they were laughing and copying each other. They had a blast!

San Diego Trip

Life has been pretty busy, I need to get back to updating the blog! It's almost been 2 months since our San Diego trip!

I wanted to take a photo of her so excited for her 2nd vacation on a plane. The photo above is what I got :) Ha! It was a packed waiting area and she was NOT wanting to sit still. Which was fine, but she couldn't decide what she wanted to do. She threw at least 3 fits in 20 minutes. I'm positive everyone in that waiting area was praying they wouldn't sit next to us!

She was pretty excited about the airplanes.

Grandma Rita said we needed to take lots of photos so she can scrapbook for us.

The best one we could get in the plane. Addison sat on my lap, it was a little crowded but by golly we weren't going to pay for a seat when we didn't have to!

I should have taken a photo of the massive fit she threw in the plane. I was so worked up, I was sweating. Ryan appeared much more calm. Addison just screamed and screamed "want down, want down, want down". We both knew the game was over if we let those little feet touch the floor, so we wrestled her. NO toys, movies, iPad worked. Nothing. We were a little over an hour into what ended up being an 4.5 hour flight. I had no clue what we were going to do or how we were going to calm her down. Ryan ended up taking her back to the airline attendants area and standing back there with her. The attendants were super nice and tried to help but nothing worked. I sat in the seats and listened to her scream. The lady in the row behind us was traveling with 3 boys and a nanny, she assured me that it's okay and Addison is louder to me than anyone else! She told me she's been in my place and knows it's stressful. It did make me feel better. SOMEHOW, Ryan got her to fall asleep. It wasn't even close to nap time so we were shocked. She slept for about 2.5 hours. Whew. Then she woke up and watched Frozen on the airline TV (that was a game changer, kid loves Olaf).

First time riding facing forward. Ryan and I thought she would be SO excited. She didn't seem to notice. haha!

Addison and her styling shades. She hadn't worn them for months but she actually loved them. And left them on!

Shooting hoops in Cousin Nolan's backyard.
