Addison started out her day already saying, "this is the best day ever!" She went through the breakfast buffet with Grandma Rita and Grandma gave her a big ol' scoop of whipped cream and two donuts. Ha! She thought getting plain whipped cream was the best thing, and continued to get it every day after that.
This was the day of the Royal Gathering. Addison was pretty excited and the boys were along for the ride. The Royal Gathering was a reservation we had to make and you got to meet the princesses. We were assigned a time slot and the time slots were not easy to get! Kelly and I stayed up late when the slots opened in hopes to snag one.
As you can see, Mason wasn't too sure on the first princess, but Addison and Nolan were happy!
Addison wanted some pictures without the boys. This was Ariel from Little Mermaid.
Addison got time for autographs and they asked her a few questions as well.
Next was Cinderella. I made sure Addison saw the main princess movies before the cruise so she would know who everyone was!
Then was Belle! I was a big fan of all these princesses growing up too :) I was impressed with how good the characters all were. At one point during the gathering, Nolan was playing with the game boy I brought him. Belle came up and looked at it and asked "what sort of contraption is that?" and after Nolan explained it to her, she said "I need to tell my father, the inventor, about that! He will be much amused!"
Addison was scared to touch the princesses, for fear of wrinkling their dress or ruining their hair. Ha!
Then last was Tiana. I hadn't seen The Princess and the Frog until I watched it with Addison. I'm actually not sure I've seen the whole thing yet, but the beginning was cute! I liked the New Orleans music. Tiana wants to open her own restaurant, so when they met her, she talked about baking beignets.
Addison liked Tiana because when she sat on the floor, her dress looked like a lily pad. Nolan pretended like he didn't care about the princesses all that much, but Kelly caught him secretly peeking and waiving at Tiana before we left. She waved back. Ha!
Addison had found the Elsa dress laying on her bed the night before the Royal Gathering. She was pretty excited for the long train and the gloves. It also came with a braid, but we didn't put that in when she had the bun in. Too bad she wasn't wearing the Rapunzel dress when she saw Rapunzel!
Then, later in the day, we saw Goofy again! I love Goofy :)
The kids loved drinking their "coffee" on the boat. We put their lemonade or water in the insulated coffee cups because they stayed cold a little longer and had a lid.
The Lents Family plus Grandpa Ron!
