Another hair cut for Mason

In September, Mason's hair was a little shaggy again. Much to our disappointment, the curls did not come back. So sad :(

This time around went WAY WAY WAY better than the first hair cut!!! He sat perfectly still and watched the TV. He did amazing!!

She did his whole head with scissors, which we thought was crazy. It took longer and we were just waiting for the second he would start screaming and be done with it. We were nervous!! We didn't even talk to him for fear it would change his attitude. Ha!

After we have cut his hair at home now a couple times, we realize his hair is so fine and thin for the razor.

He did it!! He was perfect during this hair cut. So we went out to eat at Hy-Vee to celebrate. His hair cut looks good!! His sister was quite happy he did well because she loves going out to eat. Ha!

Cyclones Beat the Hawks

Addison's first grade school picture

These kids love to wrestle!

Celebrating Iowa State beating Iowa 10-7, at Iowa (obviously). It was a great night, complete with a celebration dance party!! The kids had a blast.

Learning the secret handshake. Then Mason and Ryan played catch across the living for about an hour. This kid LOVES to play catch or anything to do with balls. We partied all night, aka put the kids to bed at 10pm). Facetimed celebration with the KC Julius' too, it was a good night. Go Cyclones!!

More fun at the pumpkin patch :)

Two kids in the outhouse..... better not try it next fall, they might get stuck!

This tractor wasn't out often, but they loved it when it was! It's super cute and their perfect size.

One last trip to Adventureland

Mason rode the mini-galleon with Addison one day. I was one nervous mom!! But he did awesome. He's in the back in the green shirt. Notice Addison does have her arm around his neck - ha!

Convinced Mason to ride the tea-cups (at the end of the season)!

Big day for Mason - he rode the frogs too! Again, I don't think he liked it too well at first, but did well!

And to make my little guy happy, we hit up the train. Dude loves this train!

They just rotated vehicles at the end of the ride. Mason rode a ton of rides on our last trip to Adventureland!

Then after Adventureland that day, we went to Cy Hawk event in Altoona and met up with some friends. Mason got a zebra, of course.

Football & 50th Wedding Anniversary

Addison loved football games this season! She did awesome at the games and found everything very exciting.

This little dude also did awesome at the games! We are lucky parents to have kiddos that love sports and do so well at the games :)

Running out at halftime to the Cyclone Liquors tent, stopped for a picture in the new Albaugh plaza.

We started parking south of 30 this year and taking the trail by Vet Med..... Mason loved walking under Hwy 30 and we had to tickle him every time we walked under the bridge...... I can't really remember how that started. ha! We started taking an umbrella stroller for part of the walk and then stashing it in the brush by Vet Med. It was nice at the end of the day to get us a break from carrying Mason and him from walking. Plus, Addison thought it was fun to push him!

Mom & Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary was in August of 2022. They don't like attention, so that's why the family went to Mexico instead of a party. But we still had a small celebration the first home football game since it's the only time most everyone is around. We got a little cake and gave them our present.

Kelly and I worked our tails off on a scrapbook last summer..... 50 years of marriage. It's an 84 page scrapbook, one page for each year they were married, plus lots of extras for the farm, vacations, ISU games, and of course the dogs. Tracey helped us by looking up facts/events for each year. It was A LOT of work but was also fun and a great accomplishment (in my opinion). Thankful for a sister always willing to go along with my crazy ideas!!

The fact/event portion was stressful for me as my dad remembers EVERYTHING..... I think we did pretty good but he did question us on a few things - ha!

All the grandkids.

Grandpa Ron brought us our pumpkins. Addison is with her named pumpkin and Mason has his. The kids planted this pumpkins, so they were pretty excited.

Addison and her pumpkin.

Love this picture!!

Addison did my hair, look how long it is!! Holy cow. She likes to do my hair (but probably not as much as I like her to do it - ha!), and she has gotten pretty good in the last 6 months.

School pictures and football game

Addison got dressed up and her hair done for school pictures. She was wearing stick-on earrings and mason wanted some too. Ha! He got little whales. Needs no explanation that Ryan had already left for work. Ha!

Getting ready for the first football game!

Go Cyclones!!

They all wanted to sit in the tiny cyclone chair :) They had a good time tailgating!

Took a pit stop at the veterinarian Cy on our walk to the tailgate.

The Skjeveland Family

The Lents Family :)

We had some mimosas and then Ryan just skipped the OJ.

Trip to KC

It was the end of August and we finally got a weekend to head to KC! We started the weekend by watching Brayden play "real" football. It was crazy, he seems too young! But it was fun. It was a huge stadium they played in.

Our little farmer was in heaven with all the farm toys!

And the most exciting part..... the pool!!

Nolan and Mason doing Hamburger and Fries..... it was cute!

These silly kiddos :) I didn't get any pictures I guess but Addison did go off the diving board at the big pool. And Mason thought he could too but Mom said no. He did go down the big slide though (even thought Mom didn't want him to!)

Kelly and Parker made the trip to KC with us, it was great! Parker gave his ear bud to Addison in the car, she thought that was pretty cool. Ha!
