Mini-Golf!

Another picture of those adorable curls!!

We went out to eat and Mason was so happy to have his own chair like a big boy. And a real plate instead of his disposable mat we use at restaurants.

They were pretty excited for a golf cart ride! Golf carts are allowed in Huxley, I would love to get one but they are pretty pricey!

Playing with pool toys.....outside the pool.

Pool fun - the swimming lessons are paying off!

Mini golf! Addison was so excited to go mini golfing. Ryan got a hole in one!

Addison hit the ball in the hole from this spot!! We were so impressed.

Addison saves every golf scorecard we get. haha! She wants a hole in one so bad, she doesn't understand it's not easy!

We tried to teach Mason how to hit. He did okay when we helped him, but he loved rolling the balls even more. He was attentive and went through each hole. Even if he didn't hit the ball with the club the whole time.... he still got it in the hole each time!

Shopping and the Shell Factory

We like to go to the Miromar Outlets because they have fish and turtles we can watch! And you can get really close to them. The turtles are all different sizes, some are super tiny. The kids (and me) enjoy it!

Always love free entertainment :)

Addison loves all the different little vehicles throughout the mall that she can climb in. She's old enough now to know if I put money in, she gets "a ride". But of course I never do that for her - ha!

We went to "The Shell Factory", which was an interesting place. The shop portion reminded me of an old truck stop. Tons of random, crappy, souvenirs. And weird animal statues. But nothing topped this.....it was a booth with a sign that says "For a Good Time, Open Door" and you had to pay a quarter to unlock the door. Ha! It was weird. We did not pay the quarter to see what was inside..... haha

Weird animal statues.....

Mason saw this motorcycle rocking horse and said "Oh neat!!" and ran over to climb on. He had that thing going so fast I thought he would tip over!

Then they found a Triceratops to climb on. Mason loved it!

Then they found a ride-on train. This time I caved and let them ride it....it was only a quarter compared to the $1.50 at the mall! They thought it was pretty cool. This Train was in some unique Christmas store. We looked for a Christmas ornament to bring home as a souvenir but couldn't find anything we loved.

The Shell Factory had a little "zoo". We use the term "zoo" lightly, but we enjoyed it! There is a giant iguana behind her.

Ew ew ew! Ugh. The reptile house held a giant snake.

Dinosaur statue

My little dinosaurs!

I said this was a unique zoo..... they had a pig bench. They had an animal that we couldn't figure out - it had a camel hump, horse feet, a cow face and I think donkey ears. It was bizarre! They also had bunnies, lemurs, a racoon and some macaw that talked to us! It scared Addison but I was really amused. And Ryan's favorite were the alligators. They had about 6 or 8 and they were actually super close to us. And awake and moving. It was fun to see!

But the best were the turkeys. I almost didn't get this picture because we saw the turkeys right before and the kids wouldn't let us set them down - ha! Addison wanted to go in this caged area where they had "loose" turkeys and peacocks. We warned Addison that they weren't in a cage, she didn't care. We started walking through and things were fine at first. There was a family in front of us on the path that were trying to get close to the peacocks. Meanwhile, the turkeys start to move faster towards us, they were closing in. Mason started freaking out, demanding to be held. Then the family blocking the exit is still harassing the peacocks and not moving. The turkeys are giving us the stink-eye and moving closer...... Addison is freaking out. They were within just a couple feet now. The family FINALLY moved and we beelined it out of there. Both kids were freaking out. Ha! When we got home I should them Hugh's video of his "pet turkey" out his window, lol. They have been terrified of the thought of turkeys and ask whenever we go to a zoo if they have turkeys, haha!

Hot Hot Hot!!

Off to Florida...... or so we thought. Right as we were going through security, we got the text we were delayed two hours. So we got toys out a lot sooner than I had planned! Mason was 22 months old on our spring break and we were pretty nervous about this flight. Addison was this age when she had her worst flight.

The Minneapolis Airport had a little playground so the kids had a good time while we waited for our flight.

This was the before the flight, but it was a good one! Mason was super good and there was never any question about Addison.

We walked out of the airport and Mason said "Hot! Hot!" Yes siree, it was hot when we walked out of the airport! We had to strip off layers. The kids were quite excited, it had been over a year since we had been to Florida due to my unforgiving work schedule.

She had her suit on within minutes of walking into the house! The pool was cold, but she didn't care. We had to get the heater turned on!

This dude had no interest in the pool but loved the toys!

Got him to get dressed for the pool, but it took some convincing to get in.....

Good thing we got some pictures of Mason in the pool because he only got in one day!! He did not enjoy it very much.

Lents family in the pool! Its funny to write about this right now.....we are back in Florida for another vacation right now! And Mason loves the pool this time and can't get enough :)

Addison's new pointer.....

After Addison used Nolan's toy vacuum, she really wanted one. Instead, I convinced her to use the real vacuum to clean up crumbs - ha! She likes to help clean but doesn't love the vacuum. Every once in a while, I can convince her to vacuum.

Seeing if Mason still fits under the counter - he's getting closer.....

We had conferences for Addison. They also had the Book Fair going on in, you know, to get parents to spend more money. Ha! Addison wanted to buy a pointer, which Ryan thought was ridiculous but I understood her want. I had a pointer to play school with when I was little and loved that thing. Haha! So we bought her the $4 pointer and she used it to show us her artwork. She has used that pointer more than any book we could have bought! She uses it all the time for various things. Her favorite thing this winter was pointing at the TV to each basketball team and telling us the scores :)

Picture from daycare of Mason coloring.

We drove to Minneapolis and spent the night at Kelly's so we could fly to Fort Myers the next day for Spring break! The kids were excited to play games with Kelly & Parker, even if Scooby was close......

Nolan's 3rd Birthday

Nolan loves dinosaur and it just so happen a dinosaur exhibit was on tour in KC right around his birthday!

Lots of dinosaur statues, some moved and some didn't. Mason thought it was pretty cool. Nolan ran through and looked at them as fast as he could!

One was sticking his head over the rail so I asked Mason if he wanted to pet him. He whacked him on the head as hard as he could. Ha!

Addison waited in line to ride a dinosaur. He moved his body slowly and she looked totally unamused. Ha! They had big inflatables, bubbles, a place to dig for dinosaur bones, and everyone's favorite - temporary dinosaur tattoos. Ha!

Grandma Rita & Grandpa Ron couldn't come to the party, but they sent a delicious cookie!

Mason liked playing with Nolan's toys.

Addison liked playing with Nolan's new birthday gifts.

Nolan had a big inflatable in his driveway, it was a hit!

Showing Grandma Rita that he is helping to clean the house.

My favorite picture of the weekend, my kids are scared of Thor so Nolan was trying to be helpful and "block him" He told us "guys, I will block him for Addison and Mason". It was funny!

Addison's favorite part of the weekend....... A Halloween Birthday Party in March!! Nicole decorated the house and had the neighbors in the cul-de-sac hand out candy to the little kids trick or treating. They had a blast!! Addison wanted to be the Grinch again and I forgot the hat (ugh).

The trick or treating crew. Grady, Garrett, and Brayden were the big kids that lead the little kids around the neighborhood. They had so much fun!

Mason, Nolan, Addison, and Brayden

Coming down the big slide. Mason was too little for the inflatable, but he didn't mind. The kids had a great weekend and slept the whole way home :)
