Disney on Ice

It's Disney on Ice night!! Addison was excited. We had told her just a few days before that we bought tickets. Grandma Rita bought her the princess "cape" (or shawl) for the big night. 

We used Ryan's parking pass and parked in his garage. Addison begs to go see Ryan's work and his desk. Thought maybe being outside his work might suffice.....it hasn't. ha! 

Mom and Addy night! Love doing these things together and hope to create the good memories for her like my parents did for me :) 

This girl was excited! She felt so special in her new cape (just like Ana's in Frozen)

She was soooo surprised and excited when I bought her a snow cone. She loves that cup! 

It was another good night at Disney on Ice. She can't wait for this year! 

She loves the cape so much that she wore it out shopping the next day. Ha! 

She found these baby dolls at Fleet Farm and added them to her Santa list :) 
 

Happy Thanksgiving

We played lots of games at night since it got dark early. We loved playing games on the lanai! 

Mason was into the games and had a good time. The headbanz game was one of his favorite. 

We think this girl was cheating, she kept winning! Aunt Kelly claims she cheats at Candy Land because she always got the Lollipop Princess. 

Happy Thanksgiving! First time we spent Thanksgiving away from home. We missed the Julius Thanksgiving but you can't beat 80 degrees and a pool. 

And a bonus, my birthday was on Thanksgiving too. We had a very laid back day, soaking up the pool before heading home on Friday. We didn't even cook a meal, we just ate leftovers. Which I think made Ryan a little sad, but I told him he could cook if he really wanted a Thanksgiving meal. We ate leftovers. Ha! 

And Mason and Ryan cleaned some windows - they did an excellent job. 

Getting some pool time in before winter - ugh! 

Grandma Rita sent Thanksgiving crafts for Addison. She is already looking forward to making more this year! 

They actually shared the last drumstick. Reminded me of when Conner and Makena were 4 & 5 and shared a giant ice cream cone in St. Maarten. They were sooo good about sharing throughout the whole ice cream cone.....until the last two bites and Makena popped the whole thing in her mouth. Ha! Conner was so mad! These two did good with the last bite....this time. Ha! 

We were very sad (or at least I was) to leave Florida and the palm trees and warm weather. Especially to come home to the start of winter! Ugh. 

 

Manatees and the Shell Factory

We made a trip to The Shell Factory again this trip. The zoo part was closed because of Ian, but we played in the store for a while. And Mason, Addison, and I picked out Christmas ornaments as souvenirs. 

These ride ons are 25 cents, a steal! The kids love these things!

On our way back to the house, we stopped at Manatee Park..... in hopes to see manatees this time! We were at the very beginning of their season in this little cove. Probably about a week off of really seeing lots. But we did see some! I was so excited. I always liked manatees since we learned about them in school soooo long ago. I saw them at Sea World as a kid and bought a manatee key chain for my bag. Ha! It was hard to see them, you had to know what you were looking for. Addison saw them, but not sure about Mason. But I was pretty excited! 

The pool was warm enough for me to get in. Ha! 

Smuggler's Cove mini golf!

They were stuck in the tower. 

 Then we went to get my free birthday burger from Red Robin. We ordered them a kids meal to share. They got two straws to share a milk too. They thought this was soooo funny! 

I'm not sure if I mentioned yet, 3 of the 4 of us were sick on this trip. Addison got strep throat the night before we left and I had to rush to get her in for a strep test. Got the anti-biotics the same day we left. She recovered super quick, but then I got sick. I was miserable! And Mason got sick. Bad cough, feeling yucky, and had a high fever once in the middle of the night. But we took lots of medicine in the morning and went out for the day. It didn't keep us down!! We ate lots of popsicles :) 

Hurricane Ian

We drove up Fort Myers beach to see the devastation of Hurricane Ian. It was awful. The views on TV and pictures can't do justice. 

This is a bad picture but it's of the shore as we go across the bridge of all the boats sitting on top of each other. 

The kids were sad because we should have been able to see the Pirate Cruise boat. 

And for some happy thoughts, here is this goofy guy!

Golf Safari

Nothing better than a drumstick! 

We found a new mini golf place. Safari Golf..... not to be confused with Golf Safari... Ha! The kids loved Safari Golf in Fort Myers, but it's close to the beach and was damaged by the hurricane. So it was closed. And so were the other two golf places we normally go to. So we looked further out and found Golf Safari in Naples. 

Hole #1 and Addy got a hole in one! 

Mason loves all the zoo animals. Especially the zebras. 

They loved the toys they got at the end of the Safari Golf course in Fort Myers. It's been over a year now and we still have the lion ring, zebra car and giraffe car. We had to throw away the zebra ring because mason chewed on it (it's been 4 months now and he's still asking for it!)

Mason's favorite things - the color black, zebras, tractors, and cars. 

So he was pretty excited to see a zebra car too! 

Mason was only 2 at the time, but he was really getting the hang of this golfing thing! We went just 2 months ago and he did really good. Got himself a hole in one! 

Ryan got a hole in one too! You won't see my hole in one's because Ryan "forgets" and doesn't take my picture. But he's sure to remind me when he get's one. 

 We had to go back and visit the zebra car again. We went golfing once, went out to the car to have a snack, then came back and did it again. You can golf for free when you come back a 2nd time in the same day. We take full advantage!!
